Frank Bologna
Profile: A filmmaker by trade, Frank Bologna has exercised his writing skills through several mediums including screenwriting, journalism, stand-up comedy, and (now) internet blogging. Born in 1981 in Ridgewood, NY and raised in Central Florida, Frank has had the opportunity to experience first-hand the relentless intensity that is metropolitan life as well as the languid malaise that is suburbia. Frank attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he received an M.F.A. in Film Production, and the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Bachelors in Creative Writing and a Bachelors in Film Studies with a minor in Philosophy. It was his time at the University of Central Florida that Frank voraciously read and absorbed the writings of some of the great Western thinkers whom he would later admire such as Aristotle, David Hume, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Soren Kierkegaard, Karl Marx, Fredrick Nietzsche, William James, Mary Wollstonecraft, John-Paul Satre, and Richard Dawkins. Though Frank would further his studies in film production, his interests in all endeavors philosophical and political have never subsided or diminished. Frank fancies himself a pragmatic secular humanist with an existential tinge, a paradigm through which Frank views the issues and problems which seem to beset the modern young adult.
